The Congregational Empowerment Team is delighted to be offering 4 Wednesday evening webinars to empower ruling elders with training in effective Church leadership. These webinars will be broadcast live on ZOOM, and recorded for later viewing via a You Tube Link which we will publish in the weekly Lackawanna Presbytery news bulletin.
We have two distinguished presenters:
Carlos Wilton, transitional pastor at Hawley, will provide a friendly introduction to the PCUSA Book of Order and discuss some of the special things that make us Presbyterian. As an author of Principles of Presbyterian Polity, we are confident his two sessions will be user-friendly as well as informative.
Vilmarie Cintron-Olivieri served as Co-Moderator of the 223rd General Assembly of the PCUSA, and her webinars will focus on the spiritual dimensions of leading the church as an elder, and the nature of God’s call. A ruling elder who resides in Miami FL., she loves to challenge other ruling elders to claim the spiritual leadership to which God has called them.
Dates of these presentations are as follows:
March 3rd at 7 pm: Carlos Wilton - link to the video: First Webinar
March 24th at 7 pm: Vilmarie Cintron-Olivieri
